I’d been frustrated for a while that, in the new configuration, my friend Athena had only one shot on her entire second page.
Okay, I was just looking for an excuse to get some new shots.
She bought it.
And they came out very well.

Shots from the 2010 Mid-Florida Muscle Classic, held June 19 in Orlando, are being added to the site.
Thanks for being patient– it’s a big show, I got lots of shots, and it’s going to take a while before it’s done.
I also got some nice shots of friend and model Athena that I will add as soon as I can. She’s as lovely as ever and there was some very nice soft light in front of the venue, which itself was an impressive piece of architecture.
I got an email from Kelly K. asking that her page be restored.
I was quite happy about this. Some of my favorite shots were (and are) on her page.
So without further ado, here it is. Welcome back, Kelly!
Shots from the 2010 Ancient City Classic, held in St Augustine, FL on May 15, are up on the site.
I purchased a new medium-range lens and while the shots came out a bit dark, overall I am quite pleased with it. My only gripe: it zooms backwards (e.g. Nikon style) and that crossed me up all morning.
The venue has pleasing architecture and I’d rather hoped there would be an opportunity for a shoot outside, but… didn’t happen.
New shots of fitness competitor Toni are up on her page.
These shots were taken at a nearby diner before it opened for the day, and the lighting was very eclectic and fun– everything from neon to soft light to reflections from the chrome.
The presence of an old VW van for sale in the parking lot, combined with Toni’s fortunate choice of casual wardrobe, also enabled me to recreate a sort of idealized 1950s vacation snapshot or two.
I still have two? three? more shoots with Toni waiting to be posted (including one at the location with the breathtaking light), but to be fair to everyone I’m trying desperately to process all the backlog in chronological order.
Next up are new shots of Adrienne Ann Smith, who has been extraordinarily patient waiting for her updates.
Just found out that the Tampa show prejudging starts about 9 am and is scheduled to run past 2 pm.
I don’t really feel as though I have that much time to spare– I’d have to be up about 5:30 AM to get a good seat and I wouldn’t get home until 5 or so. I think I’m going to shoot Deke’s show in Orlando the following weekend instead, even though the lighting is better at the Tampa venue.
Yes, it’s an actual factual site update! Real new photos and everything!
The 2008 Armed Forces show is now up on the site.
Well you know how busy I’ve been, with the wedding coming up, the job situation, and everything else seemingly falling more and more behind.
But there’s hope yet. I’ve been sneaking in work on the site whenever I can fit it, and happy that I managed to finish a section that can be published. I’m not delighted with the quality of my work in this show– the auditorium has excellent lighting, but the banners tended to muck up the white balance, and as I recall the show was paced far faster than one that size needed to be. But there are a few nice shots in there.
Speaking of, word on the street is that the 2009 Florida NPC schedule is just days away from release. Afterward of course it’ll take me a bit to incorporate it into the LP database (thereby making it searchable).
All South is the last show I have for 2008, and no promises as to when it’ll be ready but it hopefully won’t take as long as this last one. I’ve also got updates for Toni‘s page, some new stock photos, a new page (shh! a secret for now), an update to Adrienne Ann Smith‘s page, and probably a half dozen more I don’t remember right now.
In addition, I’ve got a ton of cool stuff waiting to update the Six Flags Atlantis Memorial, so sometime very soon I’ve got to get that done.
So stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.
