This post fails to omit negative logic.
On 9/10, it would have been practically impossible to warn anyone about 9/11.
Some things seem completely beyond possibility– until they happen.
I guess we’re now starting to see why it was such a big deal that Bill Clinton lied to the American public and while under oath.
Because he “got away” with it, because he was given special exception to the rule of law, it opened the door for new and even better liars.
Now the left-wing Democrat National Committee is doing frantic spin on the public’s overwhelming dismay (if not outright horror) caused by the health care proposals being made. They’re blaming Republicans and organizations no one’s ever heard of and global warming and anything they can think of for causing the people to actually *participate* in the democratic (as opposed to Democrat) process.
“How’s that hopey-changey thing working out for ya?”
Frankly at this point I don’t think the Republicans could organize a carpool, no less a systematic campaign to undermine the President. But at some point it doesn’t matter because, whether it’s the result of organized resistance or grassroots passion, it appears that the protesters have the facts on their side.
They are appearing before podia with the bill in their hand, citing chapter and verse and asking pointed questions to their representatives. It’s increasingly clear that the representatives have *not* read the bill, nor do they know what it actually contains, and certainly could not have considered the bill’s implications, ramifications, scope, cost, or alternatives.
Frighteningly, they are quite content to echo what they’ve been *told* the bill contains– they fervently *believe* the lies they’ve been told, even in the face of contradictory evidence. The alternative, that they’ve been hung out to dry by someone in whom they so strongly believe(d), is incomprehensible to them.
They’re as gullible in this regard as, dare I say it, the press, which is flailing about trying to assist with the spin at every opportunity. Rather than helping matters, though, their pandering trolls and obvious lies are eroding what little credibility they still have.
That’s why it matters that Bill Clinton lied. At least his lies were trivial.
All of this together leads to some fascinating questions: would the egregious fraud that Obama is committing constitute a violation of his oath of office?
Wouldn’t this blatant misrepresentation of the proposed law to the Congress and the American people be an impeachable offense?
How long will the career politicians stand up for the person who extends them one hand in fellowship while using the other hand to push them under the bus?

If I hear one more uninformed leftist moron chant that “VA hospitals are run by the government, so you’re hypocritical if you oppose Obama’s health care plan!”, I’m going to puke.
Those brave men and women have *earned* all the care they receive and much more. They have paid the price for that care, often in their dearest blood.
That’s *significantly* different than simply expecting such care as a birthright.
If you’re not bright enough to see that for yourself, please don’t be upset, but it’s likely that you accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan last election.
