So I had packed a Reds hat, but when game time came I didn’t care at all for the way it looked on me. I knew it would be close to 50 degrees, and I’d need some head covering, but seeing no alternative I decided to buy a hat at the park, hoping I wouldn’t need to take out a second mortgage to do so.<\/p>\n

Turns out that even the ballpark had some clearance items, and I was able to pick up a Reds hat with the name and number of Adam Dunn, a player who was traded away last year. It only cost $5 because, true to their namesake, they weren’t moving very fast.<\/p>\n

(A little Redleg humor there… _very_ little.)<\/p>\n

So that worked out well, and the Reds won, and I almost caught a T-shirt but left it for the couples in the row behind me, who squealed and giggled blithely.<\/p>\n
