The newspaper industry is hitting some hard times. Cutbacks and layoffs are plaguing some of the larger and more well-known institutions.<\/p>\n
The blame, of course, is being placed on the Internet.<\/p>\n
Surprisingly, no one is looking too closely at what the Internet offers that newspapers don’t: <\/p>\n
Fair and complete coverage<\/em>— even though you have to go find it yourself.<\/p>\n Major media have had a monopoly on the information distribution channels for so long that they stopped considering accuracy and fairness to be part of their responsibility.<\/p>\n It’s even more surprising that no one in the industry has yet realized what valuable commodities these are.<\/p>\n All one would need to stand apart from the pack is a public attempt<\/strong> to provide unbiased and complete coverage of the issues.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, they have spent so many years pushing their own agendae that it may be too late to regain the public’s trust.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In the paper today… The newspaper industry is hitting some hard times.
