{"id":457,"date":"2008-12-29T10:06:59","date_gmt":"2008-12-29T17:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lucas-photo.com\/blog\/?p=457"},"modified":"2008-12-30T07:23:12","modified_gmt":"2008-12-30T14:23:12","slug":"obama-noble-snow-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lucas-photo.com\/blog\/2008\/12\/29\/obama-noble-snow-man\/","title":{"rendered":"Obama, noble snow man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve noted before <a href=\"http:\/\/lucas-photo.com\/blog\/?p=208\" target=\"_blank\">how easy it is to cause a recession<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve also noticed that the media has been continuing to bleat the horn right though the Christmas holiday, even though reading the details suggests that sales have been down only 5-8% from last year&#8217;s record levels (and <a href=\"http:\/\/amazon.com\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon.com<\/a> reports having its &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/news.wired.com\/dynamic\/stories\/A\/AMAZONCOM_HOLIDAY_SALES?SITE=WIRE&#038;SECTION=HOME&#038;TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&#038;CTIME=2008-12-26-16-39-53\" target=\"_blank\">best holiday season ever<\/a>&#8220;, with sales up 44%).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m beginning to suspect that as soon as Obama is inaugurated, we&#8217;ll start seeing the &#8220;Good News For The Economy&#8221; and &#8220;Economy Starting to Rebound&#8221; messages in the media.  <\/p>\n<p>If people will believe the recession is over and start spending again, then lo and behold!
