That way the friction is between the sliding layers of sock, and not between the sock and the skin.<\/p>\n<p>Not to say that the study results doesn&#8217;t have <em>some<\/em> value.  But I&#8217;m going no further.  As an occasional writer of humor, this is like shooting mackerel in a Tupperware glass.
