Shots from the 2006 Hurricane Bay/Typhoon Bay show are up on the site.
Because I was sitting off further to the side than usual, and due to the wide variations of colors behind the competitors depending on where they were standing on stage, I had to open a real can of whoop-ass on the saturation and brightness levels on most of the shots, which is why I’m so late with these shots and why there’s such a wide variation in the color levels.
The Canon seemed better at the auto-white balance during the Southeastern last weekend, as I was making a conscious effort to keep my finger off the button until I was ready to shoot. On the other hand, Ian says just set for tungsten and fuhgetaboutit. I think he may be right.
Anyway, the Southeastern should go more quickly, and I have no shows for the next three weekends, so look for some of the backlog on the portfolio shots to get cleared out and lots of updates on that part of the site. Enjoy.
