So once again the Lemming News Services were fooled into thinking that Balloon Boy was actual news, simply because “everyone else was covering it”.

If you recall, email spam got it’s name from a derogatory statement about the luncheon meat: email spam was mail that *seemed* like real mail, but wasn’t.

So we can extend that definition that to the Colorado fraud– it *seemed* like actual news, but wasn’t. Spam + news = snews. Snooze.

That works.

The best way to fight against climate change?

Aggressive prosecution of busybody activists who make preposterous claims to know the future.

WIth some unexpected weekend time available, I thought I’d run down to Tampa to shoot the All Forces championships.

When I got there, I found that the show had been held two weeks previously. My site had out-of-date information.

Strictly my own fault for not-double checking for updates. Just a clear reminder, if one was necessary, to always verify unofficial information against the official sources.

Truth is never “hate speech”.

“Quality” results from the successful application
of human skill, effort, and passion

with significant impact and/or permanence
effecting the hindrance and/or removal
of cognitive and/or physical entropy
within the Universe.

“Florida DOT” plus “their own butts” plus “both hands” plus “a flashlight” — FAIL! EPIC FAIL!

So I had packed a Reds hat, but when game time came I didn’t care at all for the way it looked on me. I knew it would be close to 50 degrees, and I’d need some head covering, but seeing no alternative I decided to buy a hat at the park, hoping I wouldn’t need to take out a second mortgage to do so.

Turns out that even the ballpark had some clearance items, and I was able to pick up a Reds hat with the name and number of Adam Dunn, a player who was traded away last year. It only cost $5 because, true to their namesake, they weren’t moving very fast.

(A little Redleg humor there… _very_ little.)

So that worked out well, and the Reds won, and I almost caught a T-shirt but left it for the couples in the row behind me, who squealed and giggled blithely.

And I tried goetta, and it was good. Very, very good.
